IMEI tracking software from inward to sale to service

Kshitij ERP keeps one record for every phone and every serial-numbered appliance. Its IMEI or serial is taken when the stock arrives, and the same record follows the unit between your stores, onto the customer's bill, and back for warranty or repair.

The IMEI is taken when the stock arrives

On the goods receipt, scan or paste one unit per line: its serial, IMEI 1 and IMEI 2. A serial-tracked item must receive exactly as many numbers as units, and a number already on record for that item is refused.

  • PO → GRN → billOrder, receive and bill — each step matched.

Scan a unit to find it

Scan an IMEI to see where the unit is, where it has been and what it cost: on the shelf, in transit between stores with its transfer and carrier, sold, or at the service desk. Labels printed for your stock are scanned to bill, receive or count.

The same unit on the bill, the warranty and the repair

The bill names the unit sold. When a customer brings it back, warranty lookup reads its IMEI and shows whether you sold it, to whom and when, and whether it is still covered — and a repair job card opens against the same unit.

Counted and moved by the unit

A stocktake counts phones by scanning each unit, so a handset the books expect and nobody scanned is named by its IMEI, not just counted short. A transfer between stores carries the units it moves, and they show as in transit until the other store receives them.

A wrong IMEI corrected, with a reason

A serial or IMEI keyed wrong at inward, on a return or on a trade-in is corrected with a reason. Only the numbers change — never the item, its cost or where it is. The unit keeps the old number in its history, and the correction is in the audit trail.

IMEI tracking software: questions retailers ask

Short answers. For the long ones, ask us to show you on a demo.

  • What is IMEI tracking software?

Software that records every phone by its IMEI, and every serial-numbered appliance by its serial, and follows that one unit from the day it arrives to the day it is sold and after. Kshitij ERP keeps that trail for each unit across stock, sales and service.

  • Does it record both IMEIs of a dual-SIM phone?

Yes. Each unit is received with its serial number, IMEI 1 and IMEI 2, and warranty lookup finds the unit by any of the three.

  • Can I see which store a phone is in?

Yes. Searching an IMEI shows the store holding the unit — or, while it is moving, the transfer it is on, with the carrier and the expected date.

  • Can I check a customer's phone for warranty by its IMEI?

Yes. Warranty lookup takes the IMEI or serial and shows whether the unit was sold by you, on which bill and to whom, and whether it is still in warranty.

  • What happens if an IMEI was keyed in wrong?

It is corrected with a reason. Every document shows the corrected number, the unit keeps the old one in its history, and the change is recorded in the audit trail.

  • Does it track TVs, laptops and appliances too?

Yes. Any item can be set to track serial numbers, so a TV, a laptop or an air conditioner keeps the same unit trail as a phone.
