Data deletion

Last updated 21 October 2026

You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you. This page says how, what happens next, and what the law does not let us delete. Read it with our privacy policy.

How to ask

Email privacy@kshitij.net with the subject Data deletion request, or call +91 97007 96005. Tell us:

  • your name, and the mobile number or email address we hold;
  • how you came to us — a demo registration, a sign-in to Kshitij ERP, or a business that uses Kshitij ERP (name it, if you can);
  • what you want deleted, if not everything.

Before we act, we confirm the request is yours by sending a one-time code to the mobile number or email address in our records.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your request within 7 days.
  • Demo registrations and our own records about you: we delete them.
  • A sign-in to Kshitij ERP: we close it and remove the contact details, password and authenticator that belong to it. The business that gave you the sign-in is told.
  • Records a business keeps about you as its customer, supplier or employee: that business decides what it keeps. We pass your request to it promptly and help it remove or blank the details it is allowed to.
  • We write to you when it is done, within 30 days, saying what was deleted and what had to be kept, and why.

What the law requires us to keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request, because Indian law requires them to be kept:

  • invoices, payments and the other books of account — at least eight years for accounts, and GST records for the period GST law sets;
  • the audit trail of changes that accounting law requires the software to keep — it cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including us.

These are kept only for that purpose. Encrypted backups expire on their own within 30 days of a deletion.

WhatsApp messages

If you received a WhatsApp message through Kshitij ERP, the request above also removes the log of messages sent to your number, where the business is not required to keep it. To stop further messages without deleting anything, reply STOP to the business on WhatsApp — see how replying STOP works — or block the sender in WhatsApp. Messages already delivered stay on your phone, and Meta keeps its own records under its own policy.
